    A prostate question

Alright, I know this is a rather personal question and I'm sure I'm going to catch h*** for even bringing it up (that's okay...go ahead and give it your best shot), but after the highly entertaining and informative thread on testosterone therapy I thought somewhere in the midst of any hazing I may be setting myself up for will be some pearls of wisdom that might be useful. Here goes...

Do any of you know anything about a procedure for BPH called UroLift? I'd be interested to know not only if you give it a thumbs-up or thumbs-down but also any significant caveats you, or someone you know, may have experienced.

    Asking for a friend. Really.

PS, if you prefer not to discuss this in a public forum, please feel free to PM me.

I don't know your details but If you haven't yet, try the "NOW" brand of "pygeum & saw palmetto" supplement. It is available on Amazon and some HEB's carry it.

There's lots of info on YouTube about Urolift. I have a friend that will be having it done next month. Supposedly not as invasive as surgery and lasts up to 5 years +/-.

My dad just had the lift done last month. It didn’t work. He had to go back in and have the prostrate cored our. Says it back to normal now.

Tell your friend that sex 6 times per day will ease the symptoms

Didn't work for me. I ended up with a sprained wrist.

And now we get to the heart of the matter!

Symptoms as of now are frequent urination (husband has to wake up several times at night) and a weak urine stream. Personally, I’m more concerned that, should the situation go on unchecked, he might lose the ability to go six (or eight) rounds per night.

My dad had the Turp procedure done a number of years ago. The procedure itself was a nightmare and, while he would never admit it, I don’t think “things” work right even now. My husband saw what my dad went through and was traumatized by it. Says he’ll never let a surgeon anywhere near his prostate!
