Sennheiser works pretty well. We have a couple of these: Sennheiser RS120 On-Ear Wireless RF Headphones with Charging Cradle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0001FTVEK..._hb.YEb68E0QZE

Over 18k reviews on Amazon. I would consider these base models, they have better ones depending on budget.

If you do it, check your to sound output.
Some to have a mic jack that is an output , some have optical output only, others have Bluetooth
On some TVs you can only have one output so if you are in Bluetooth or optical , you can’t have speaker sound for everyone else

Old fart bump....Hearing is getting worse and worse. I'm tired of not being able to hear the TV over the sound of dull drone noises like fans or my CPAP etc. Not ready to jump off into hearing aids just yet as I can hear normal conversation. I just can't hear the TV without annoying the wife. I run the subtitles but sometimes they are way behind or just plain horrible.. Would like to have something with two sets so that her TV can be crisper as well. What are you guys using these days. I've search amazon but there doesn't seem to be a clear leader. Probably looking for an over the ear type muff to block out other noises.

Do you have a Roku Streaming device?

If so, you can hit the earphone button on your phone via the app and listen to it the TV through your phone speakers or earphones.

On the look out for my hearing impaired 84 y.o. dad. Completely deaf in one ear, and only 20% in the other.

I just use my ear buds. I run all Amazon fire boxes or sticks. Bluetooth capable.
