Today's is our 11th wedding anniversary. We met at Texas A&M August of 2003 when I was moving my horse in to the boarding facility we rented stalls from. Didn't marry until 2009...but I was on TBH pre-crash around 2002
We've made it through the poorest time of our life, having nothing after college. We've had two kids, some rough patches, that I blame on my career more than anything. We survived medical school, residency and fellowship. Marriage isn't easy but we've made it.
We are taking the kids to ride our horses this morning, vaccinate some new horses we have recently acquired. Then after lunch, the kids go to the grandparents and it's our time.
We are going to drive around the ranch with a few drinks, then cook dinner together, without the kids.
Our gift to each other was we decided to get our custom wedding boots re-soled in addition to our bday/wedding trip to Montana for 10 days of fly fishing and horseback riding in July with some friends.
To the rest of you married guys out there, keep it going, it's worth it.
