    Corona shut down nudge

Are you going to do anything different moving forward? I’ve been pondering a deep freezer and some sort of vacuum sealer for a while now. I’m thinking those might come in handy with the way the worlds been spinning lately. You got any future plans or modifications? Thanks in advance

Who the **** doesn’t already have a vacuum sealer and deep freeze?

Yep, ramping up the gardening year round as well as raising chickens for meat, have always had birds for butt nuggets. Besides the deer we put in the freezer we will be feeding out a calf for ourselves plus a few to sell.

I’ve been pretty well prepared for this for awhile. Two freezers full, deer and hogs out the back door, fish in the pond. I’m not saying I’m self sufficient, but don’t need too much to be.

I purchased two 55 gallon drums and will be collecting rain water off my roof. I feel like some weirdo prepper, but also clean water will be the hardest thing to come by. I did this back in early March... Guess I feared everyone shutting down or getting sick including the folks that keep the system running for clean water. Looks like that fear was irrational. Either way, it's nice to know my family will have clean water.

I’ve got a big freezer full of elk and whitetail and 2 small freezers in the shed that I don’t use but work. Not to worried about meat around here. I do have a couple of goats that will be on the hit list if I run out then it’s off to the woods after that.

Nope. Retiring on Friday, wife retired in Jan, Selling our house and moving to a new place in Central TX. Not doing anything different from what we do now.

It is what it is and with our retirement set, nothing we can do now to change it or increase it. Thankfully we set up some annuities that will give us an income for life plus what little left we have in Mutual funds. Hopefully they come back before I croak!

Congrats on the retirement. I retired New Years Eve and don’t plan on looking back. [emoji41]

Where in Central Tx are you guys moving to?

We went ahead and got sheep and longhorns with the extra time on our hands.. They've been great, I'm glad we did it. It was a steep learning curve, but day to day they're domesticated animals and not too complicated.
