    Polaris Ranger Bed

We have been talking about this project for years but we never have made the time to do it until now. Originally the plan was aluminum, but the ‘roni had different plans for us and got our big aluminum order held up so we went with steel. This bed is going on my own ranger, the main use for it is more ranch work than hunting. But, we’re going to try and do it to handle both tasks well. The specs on it so far are:

    1.5” 14Ga frame work
14 Ga floor plate for deck/skirts/tailboard

This one will have a 11”x18”x60” toolbox across the front with access on the driver/passenger side to different compartments. Driver side will have multiple slide out drawers for hand tools. The passenger side will be about 36” deep and we’re thinking we will go with a large tray that slides out to hold a variety of things. There will be flush mount LED’s on the tailboard to light everything up, and on top of the toolbox we’re planning on a winch and some form of a headache rack with lights in it as well. On the deck we plan on putting some mounts in that will accept the Polaris lock-n-ride plugs, so that we can add accessories later on. Other than that I’m not sure which direction we will be going. I’ve got some ideas in my head but I haven’t thought them through completely so we will just have to see.

There are 5 points of contact for the mounts. With the permanent toolbox up front I opted not to keep the dumping feature. I have never used it for anything except cleaning out the bed anyways. There also will be a receiver on the tailboard for hitches and road feeders.

As she sits right here - 175.7 lbs. not terrible, but we will be adding some S3 springs to it to help with the added weight.

If I ever replace my buggy I'll look hard into this. Ive seen one made of aluminum at some shoots with stake pockets. Its rigged just about how Id like one

I have a picture of a bed made the same. But it had the feeder incorporated into the bed.

                  That's a nice set up.

Looks awesome, how do you service the motor without the dump feature?
