Which water softener pellets?

Which pellets do y’all use? I have a Kinetico softener/filtration system and use the yellow bags, but my wife is complaining about the water being “slimy” aka too soft. TIA

The pellets don't make the water softer or harder. They "cleanse" the resins in your water softener. I use potassium chloride for mine. More expensive but not sodium.

When we bought our Kinetico softener the rep told us to use Diamond Crystal 40-lb Salt Solar Crystals from Lowes. He said not to use the ones with the Pellets. Not sure if they are any better.
