Where do I get a live cattle slaughtered and processed

Im East of Austin, have a friend that ended up with a young bull they want turned into hamburger. Where does one go with a live animal?

Look for a private locker plant. I’m not familiar with the area so that’s the end of my help.

Westphalia Meat Market just outside of Lott. I picked up a steer today from them. Was killed on 3/16. Went over my cut sheet on Monday and how I wanted it wrapped. Ask for Janet.

I think there is a new place in Evant. Not too terribly far away.

Don't have a "place" in your area, but you'll probably need to call to get a slaughter date.
I bet it is a month or more out. (I've heard of 3 mos.)

You might get it quicker if you don't require "hanging/ageing time".

Primo Processing in Hondo can do it. I know it’s a little ways from ya though.

I would check with Granzins in New Braunfels. If they don’t do it they could probably recommend a place.

You might check with some local deer processors.

Smithville Food Lockers. Not far at all from you. We've had several done there.

Pretty sure Eckermann’s meat market will do it.
