"Does This Mean We Cannot Eat Meat?"
We should consume Biblically clean meats (Lev 11), which includes the preparation of the meat. Has it been bled properly and/or allowed to soak in cold (salted) water and rinsed to remove the blood? (Acts 15:20-21, 29; 21:25). Scripture states that the "life" is in the blood. The Hebrew word for "life" is nephesh translates as "soul". Its definition is literally, appetite, lust, desire. Therefore the meats we consume with blood contain the desires of that animal. This is why our Creator has given us specific instruction when it comes to what we put into our bodies.
The Apostle Paul correctly identifies our bodies as a Temple. The instructions for preparing the Tabernacle in the wilderness is a direct application for believers today. If we clean our Tabernacle i.e. "Body" which is a vessel[made from clay] we prepare a place for Yahweh's Spirit to dwell. We take our Creator's name[authority] in vain when we put unclean things into His creation. A modern example would be to disregard the instructions from an inventor on how to maintain or service his/her invention.
Halal versus Biblical Clean
Halal is not Biblical Clean. Halal grocery products and animal slaughters are becoming more widely available in the western world as the Muslim population grows. Halal means that during slaughter the product has been prayed over and dedicated to the Muslim god Allah. 'Bismillah Allah-hu-Akbar,' is the Islamic prayer, which means 'In the name of Allah, who is the greatest.' Firstly, the religion of Islam is not in agreement with Scripture as they say, "There is no God but Allah who never produced a son, nor had a companion, nor needed a protector. Praise his greatness" thus they deny Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Holy Spirit (Ruach Ha Kodesh). Secondly, this halal slaughtered meat now becomes a sacrifice to an idol. We need to be very careful when it comes to eating something dedicated to another god other than Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. According to scripture this meat has now been offered up to a idol. Consuming halal products is in effect submitting, accepting, and surrendering (giving power) to Allah, the god of the Muslims and being in agreement with Islamic sharia law. Islam means submission or slave of Allah. There are a growing numbers of meat markets, supermarkets, restaurant chains and even schools selling or using halal certified products unbeknownst to the consumer.
Judas and Silas understood the seriousness of "blood" which contains the "soul" the appetite, desire, lust of its host. This mingling of holy and profane is precisely what Balaam did to curse Israel. He instructed King Balak to tempt the Israelites into fornication with the Moabites who's name reveals their character. Hebrew names have prophetic objectivity identifying the "character" of the individual or in this case a people group. Moab(ites) are descendants of one of the daughters of Lot. Moab means "from father"
