    3 year old male catahoula

    Guys/gals
I am at a crossroad and have no good choice other than to rehome my Hondo.

Now that he is older he fights my girlfriends old red healer and it is getting worse every day.

Hondo is a great dog and is very house trained but I have to get him a new home.

He is a decent tracker and a great single dog but is not good around other males.

Please give me a call ASAP as I don’t want to have to go the other way.

lock yer girlfriend and yer dog in the trunk for six hours and see which one is GLAD to see you when you open the trunk.

I second that... many years ago, an old ex of mine had a blue heeler and that **** thing would nip at my ankles every **** time I went to pound town. I have hated them ever since.

Ahh..so this is where the “hump him till he pees” saying came from! 😂

Good call....maybe I should clarify, pound town was on the ex, not her dog.

How come the heeler is not being considered for the getting the boot?
                  I know...I know why
                  Good luck, both nice dogs.

Hope you find him a good home. I have been breeding registered catahoulas since the 80's and this is the reason I never, ever recommend them for pets. A real catahoula is high energy, high prey drive and hard headed breed. The often become more aggressive at maturity which id roughly 3 years. They are a working breed that needs a job to be happy. If you cannot have him bay cows and/or hog the next best thing is to run him about 5 miles a day. Is the dog NALC registered? Is he still intact? If registered what breeder is he from?

                      Thanks.
