    Tooth Fairy Questions

    1. What’s the going rate for a tooth nowadays?

    2. What do you do with the teeth?

I’ve been giving $2 dollar bills or Sacajawea coins to keep it interesting.

Our kids have almost lost all of their baby teeth which begs the question. What do you do with their teeth. My mom kept ours so I have been too with our kids but then it dawned on me. What am I ever going to do with them? I also find it peculiar keeping body parts around.

Sounds like your doing fine on cost. We put bills under pillows for a while then started with whatever they are intrested in at that time.

I agree with you on keeping body parts. My father kept mine and asked me a few years ago if I wanted em back. He!! No! Not sure if he kept em or threw em out.

I do random coins. Dollar coins, half dollar coins, $2 bills, etc. My kids are too young to realize the difference between $1 and $100 with regards to money, so I just keep it interesting

I got a quarter for most of mine

My kids got considerably more for theirs from my wife

As far as keeping them, I doubt we kept them long

Saw a mime where the Dad got drunk. He put $100.00 under the pillow.

Give your mom the teeth and keep up with the $2.00

And most importantly, don't drink that night.

I sprinkle $5 a tooth. My wife is the accountant and she goes for $3 a tooth.

We save the teeth because apparently there are remnants of stem cells. We saved all umbilical cords too. I reckon the gun safe is where they should reside once I find the drawer the wife stuffs all that into.

When my daughter lost her first one my dad told her to put it under her pillow because the tooth fairy will give her $20 for it!!! This was 30+ years ago! I had to explain that he really WAS joking.

My wife is super generous with the money. Usually whatever is in my billfold (less than $20). My little guy lost a silver crown once and for sure got a $20. She keeps the teeth in special containers that she got from Facebook or Amazon (memories and stem cells).

25 cents is all I got. Gave my kids $1. Never kept any tooth, ever.

I remember my mom kept them in baby food jar. Still has them and I am 32. Not sure why. I always thought it was creepy, however, knowing there are stem cells as Briar Friar said, I believe I will keep my sons.

You guys keeping them for stem cells, are you really spending $120/year in storage fees, plus the $1000 one time fee to recover and grow the stem cells in the teeth?! I honestly didn't know this was a thing until this thread.

Seems like one tooth would be more than enough.

$20 it encourages them to hurry and get them out. Braces are expensive!
My youngest daughter wrote the tooth fairy a note , she asked for a picture to see what she looks like.
I printed off an angel picture and wrote her a note back on the next tooth.
She is 14 now , we still laugh about that tooth fairy letter
