It's a little work and not a whole lot of meat but if you get those ribs and smoke them just right with some bbq sauce you won't ever look back. When I see a fat sow all I can think of is the ribs.

At first I thought it was a big Boar. Hair on the back of its neck standing up, tail straight up and ran all my deer off. When I walked down to check it found out it was a Sow. Towed her back to the skinning rack a weighted her!!

Nothing better than a rack of ribs off a big sow, I let some sows grow just so I can have some ribs every now and then

I always try and get a big sow every year and get it cut and wrapped. Ribs, bacon, pan sausage, roast, and steaks. You can’t go wrong doing that.

Ribs and "backstrap on the bone" are my two fav meats off-em. The rest gets ground either to breakfast sausage, or straight ground pork-burger. If you haven't had pork-burger, and you like ground sirloin, your gonna love pork-burger!

Sow that identifies as a boar? Look out. You may stir a pot.

Hell of a sow and reward looks delicious!

JLivi1224, Thanks for the compliment on the rifle. That's a 1982 Remington 700 BDL in 270 cal. It was my first firearm I purchased myself. Bought it at Carter's Country in Pasadena. I have no idea how much meat it has put on the table.

I’ve enjoyed some wild hog ribs, but for whatever reason, I have never chicken died the back straps. I chicken fry venison straps and steaks and love em! Gonna have to give that a try.

That is the same rifle I use 99% of the time when I rifle hunt.
