    2020 Saltwater Fishing Thread

New year time for a new thread. We started the year off right with a couple limits of trout this morning. It has been a solid bite for us for the last several weeks. Good luck to everyone that is venturing to the salt this coming year.

I’m dang sure going to contribute more to this thread.
Didn’t post every pic or trip but will do my best this year... I’ll be off most of this month and plan on hunting and fishing everyone... well, after I get my honey do’s done.

Wife and I had our rv to aransas pass for 5 months last year and tired of crowds. We decided we are going to set up camp in poc this year just need to find a nice rv place and find some fish. Those are some nice trout.

Man wish I had known this. My place is in AP. I agree on the crowds, but not sure how much better POC will be. It’s pretty popular nowadays.

That’s the Bernard. Always looks like that at low tide.

We’ve been fishing both bay and river. I hardly fish the Bernard unless it’s under the lights. We were cooking over here so I came straight here from Matagorda.

My 21 year old grandson has the fishing bug real bad. He's gone with me several times since the summer. It's tough keeping up with him but it's great to spend the time with him. It'll help me get out more this year too. It's the time of year to get him on a few big trout. Good luck out there this year.

Its about that time of year for me to make a run to S Louisiana. My brother made a scouting run today with his oldest boy. Trout were real finicky inside the marsh. Did not find the reds in the usual spots, but the big uglies and spare tire sized sheephead kept the lines tight all afternoon. Bull reds run is about to kick off

I’m off. I’ll be out there Sunday and most likely Monday too.
