Brian Johnson on here (duckdogtrainer) is outstanding. His place is in Winnie. He does a fantastic job...starts with obedience and works up to retrieves, blinds, etc... He works the dogs out of boats, off of stands, etc... His website is duckdogtrainer.com I believe...also on facebook.

I had a bad experience with him.. Sent my Brittany there for a month of obedience training (was originally going to do advanced but after a month im glad we took her back.) She ran herself raw on her pads, and her side (had raw sore spots) in the kennel so they stuck her in a tiny trailer kennel so she couldn't run around. She came back extremely scared, stunk, had hook worms, and now she wont stay in a kennel.. She slept for almost 3 days most of the day until she finally got her personality back and is now terrified of kennels. She pees and poops all over the kennel every time i tied to leave her in it.. (she went to training already kennel trained and liked it.)
Not once was i called and really updated on her progress or to notify me of her condition other than the first weekend she was there i took my wife to see her and she was doing okay other than she wanted to leave with us when we came.
I also have another guy i work with who had a dog there and wishes he would have just done it himself.
Best Retrievers, Rody has lots of Master Nationals under his belt, too. His dogs love him.
MillsJake, My dog ran his pads down too in a cow dog kennel in a few days. After 5 days I picked him up because he lost 20% of his body weight. When I got him to the vet people thought I rescued him. It was not the trainer's fault. My dog is a very nervous dog and literally ran that kennel non-stop only sleeping because the other dogs were sleeping. He jumped and ran that much. We couldn't crate him because he would dump his water. Anything bigger and he'd tear it up. I see where Brain might have thought that was a solution to tearing up her pads.

Oh i agree i just thought after what was happening i should at least be given a phone call and notified of the problem, maybe that style of training just wasn't for her. Not a problem but would have been nice to know. Now ive literally tried everything to get my dog to stay in a kennel without pooping all over the walls but its not going to happen. Could have probably been prevented if i wouldn't have picked her up early on knowing the problem.

Just my experience.
I had a similar experience with peach ridge kennel
But I don’t think he is in business anymore
I got strange bill from a vet I didn’t know and called them about the invoice and was told the dog had a severe eye injury
Drove over to ask about what had happened and found the dog locked up inside a travel crate covered in urine and fecal Days old
And dog with a ripped open eye lid , and no trainer to be found
So I busted her out of jail and took her to my veterinarian
Saved her eye, “ trainer had used a fiberglass cb antenna on her “
