I lost my Mom the morning of Nov 26 to congestive heart failure. My wife lost an Uncle and a younger brother to her Dad.
To top that off, we were faced with a decision to give pain meds or amputate a front leg of our 7 year old female Rottie, Sophie. The meds may have worked for a while but then what? We opted to remove her left front leg as she was not using it anyway. She came thru surgery fine yesterday around noon and was recovering well but something happened around 8pm snd we lost our precious Sophie. We and her vet think it was a massive heart attack. My wife is devastated as she thinks we chose wrong. This is our 4th Rottie we have lost to some form of cancer since 2001.

Live seems to be dealing us a lot of misery lately.
Sorry for the rant but I truly hope our worst times are behind us at least for a while.
