    Anyone hunt central Ok?

Anyone here hunt in Oklahoma? More specifically near Prague in central Oklahoma near or along the north Canadian river. Looking at a place to lease for potentially next year to hunt. It’s never been leased or hunted and has a couple miles of river frontage with crops. Corn and soybean mostly with some big hardwoods. But it’s pricey, that’s for sure. Trying to get an idea of deer quality on the area before I try to negotiate on price for leasing.

    Thanks.

A quick google search of some free range deer shot in that county makes me think $5,000 for 200 acres the way you described it could be an ok deal.

One way to see the type of deer in the area is to look at listings of land for sale nearby on landsofoklahoma.com. A lot of times they’ll have pics of deer harvested and trail cam
Pics in the listings. But that’s a good area on the river especially with crops.

Was just searching that. There is also 150 acres close buy that apparently has water and stays stacked with waterfowl. I may be able to work that in as well for same price since it’s not hunted and the land owner was considering in leasing it. If that’s the case, I would be set. Deer hunt one place and slam ducks/geese on the other.
