I like my HHA. Simple, reasonably priced, and works

CBE engage 5 pin slider. lower profile than spot hogg. Both good sights. Have my CBE shooting at 100 "for fun" and still plenty of arrow clearance.

The IQ Hunter Pro (3 pin bottom slider) was good, but wound up going to a smaller housing single pin that is better for me at longer ranges.

Been thinking about this for my Hoyt as well. Is there any that you need to stay away from? I know Trophy ridge makes one but wasn’t sure if it was any good.

Not really, sliders have come a long way in the past 5 years or so for hunters. Just stay away from anything with exposed plastic (pointers, scopes, etc.).

Choose which style you like best for the tape location; back of sight, front bar or wheel. Some of the less expensive options can have a buzz but in most cases it can be fixed or replaced by the company. You get what you pay for in the area of machining tolerances which equate to tight fitting, non-buzzing parts.

Get the basics here, along with some follow up conversation.
https://discussions.texasbowhunter.c...d.php?t=569560 It's a little dated now as far as products, but the basics remain the same.

Trophy Ridge make good sights, and some that are very budget friendly, but there may be better options (inexpensive options anyway), like the Black Gold Ascent Whitetail Black Gold Ascent Whitetail Link

Following this thread. Been looking for information on slider sights, and different types.

I too shoot an HHA, single pin slider. Never again want more than 1 pin showing up thru my peep sight.

I shoot the black gold ascent whitetail 3 pin.. I had a single pin but I prefer 3 pin for spot and stalk.. it seemed like I was spending too much time ranging and adjusting my sight with the single pin.
The sight tape is worthless if you try to use fps. I shot and marked my blank tape out to 90 yards then matched a tape up to it.. the tape says 15 fps slower than what I shot through the crono. I made sure every mark lined up. It may be different if you shoot lite arrows.
