Anyone else play with fire. Made two batches of char cloth today. Denim works best for me.

I made a big batch from a pair of blue jeans probably 6 years ago. Still have s ton left. Works like s champ.

We used to have our scouts make it and then use it to start their fires at camp outs. neat to know how and play with.

So are you rubbing two sticks together or using a flint? I always wanted to make fire with two sticks. Would love to say I had done it. I guess I need to read into it and see what I need to do.

We learned how to do it at a TYHP hunt. Now every time we light a fire we use the char cloth

Wait a few months...way to hot to be working that hard this time of year.

Never tried denim? I’ll have to try it. Always used my old flannel shirts

It's been a long time. I need to dig around and find my flint and steel.

I made some from an old cotton work shirt and altoids tin. I will try the denim next time.
