    Mosquito Misting Chemicals

I have a misting system in my back yard. I'm currently using Sector. What do you use and have you ever added different chemicals to the mix for other control? What did you add and was it successful.

I found some on Amazon, and it worked just fine.
    Don't remember the brand.

Permethrins and will kill them and larvae for up to 6 weeks. It's all I spray my yard, garden and fruit trees with. Does not hurt my dogs. I just stay out of the yard until it dries.

Careful mixing different chemicals in your system, it can cause a reaction and gum up all of your line and nozzles. I’d stick with 1 brand and if you change be sure to flush your system with water before the switch

Try Vectorban Plus. Best value out there same formula as Sector but less than $50 shipped to your house. I have been using it for last several years with good luck.

Horse barn misting systems use permethrin, cheap at feed stores but will harm cats and we have a lot of barn cats.

Riptide on doyourown pest control.com for a dedicated misting system.

Stihl backpack mister/blower, with 3oz Bifen or talstar p and 3oz riptide. Spray bushes around your house once every three weeks and you won’t have mosquitos. This if you don’t have a system already in place

I am thinking this is what is in our 450 gallon tank. Works like a charm!!!

Can you elaborate on this method please? Is there a youtube video possibly?

It’s actually a Stihl backpack mister with a 2gallon tank on it. I mix up 2 gallons worth of product and will spray each bush and shrub around my house. It shoots out a fine mist and it’s best to get it on the inside of the bush or underside of the leaves (where those skeeters hang out)

I used to pay a mosquito guy and watched what he did and just went ahead and bought my own gear/chemical. I warn you though, once someone finds out you are from here on out the mosquito guy!

I did some Google research and it looks like it would not only hurt my bees, but it looks to be bad if it washes into my pond as well.
