    New land to hunt in Texas?



    Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge: Expand existing migratory game bird, upland gameand big game hunting to 822 new acres.

    Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery
    : Formally open to sport fishing for the first time.

    Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge: Expand method of take for existing big game hunting on 27,100 acres to further align with state regulations.

    Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge: Expand method of take for existing big game hunting on 5,933 acres to further align with state regulations.oTrinity River National Wildlife Refuge: Expand method of take for existing upland game hunting and season date ranges for existing big game hunting to further align with state regulations on 9,024 acres. Moving all refuge hunts, including existing migratory game bird hunting, to state lottery system.

    I think it means more weapons seasons, likely to included firearm season.

      I wish they had more exotic hunts when deer season is over. I believe last year they only had one after deer season.

        We won't know what that means until the draw hunts come out next month or even next year. More opportunities will be better than less.

          Unless you’re a bowhunter. I think this is more general season hunts. I wish they offered more hog/exotic only hunts which would take some pressure off the deer, quail, and turkey populations.
