    This is NOT a rant...

    Well maybe... lol

If someone is running/jogging/riding a bike on a public path around the lake, turn your dang music down so you can hear others who are passing you. Also, this is Merica so keep to the right and pass on the left. This is for all using the path/trail!!
And if you’re going to walk/run on the left, stay off your **** phone so you can see oncoming traffic...🤦*♂️

On the road, drivers who intentionally try to sideswipe me, might want to think about the Glock on my side.

This is great evidence against you should you ever have to defend yourself in a road rage incident. Best to remain silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Riding a bike on the trail, when you yell "passing on the left" the idiots jump in the left lane almost getting ran over.
On dirt trails, joggers are supposed to run the opposite direction as the bikes. I rode the Rowlett Creek Preserve trails a lot, I wouldn't walk them, most likely, that creek bottom must have the most copperheads of anywhere I have ever seen. I would run over multiples almost each time I rode.

I agree. I ride the Trinity Trail quite a bit and I’m a stickler about following protocol. When about to overtake a runner/walker I always loudly announce “bike on your left!”. Unfortunately that person is often wearing headphones and taking their half out of the middle. All conflict would be avoided if instead of walking on the paved trail, they walked on THE WALKING TRAIL - you know, that 10 foot wide path of crushed limestone built for that specific purpose.

I just wish bicyclist would stop riding 2-4 deep in roads and on shoulders.
Think about it the hotter and more tired you become - the clumsier you become.
The odds of bumping handel bars and falling in front of a truck is high. It is an unnecessary risk

100% agree! I run a lot and this is a common problem. I will be on a narrow sidewalk with a busy street to the side and come up on someone walking or jogging slowly. I yell passing on the left but they don't hear. I'll proceed to pass and end up scaring the crap out of them.

To make things more awkward it always seems to be a young woman. Which brings up another discussion about being aware of your surroundings...

That’s the reason I don’t run or ride bikes.
