    ? About Gun Values

What is the easiest and fastest way to find out the values of pistols/rifles and shotguns?

    I normally check Gunbroker.com

Blue Book is a good source ; around $40 . If you reference any online sights make sure to look at completed auctions / sales . There is a lot of stuff listed but a lot less that actually sells . . .

On Gunbroker you need to look at what they actually sold for. Most are over-priced on there.

Mike is correct...completed auctions (I think you need to be a member to use this portion of the advanced search function) Again, only pay attn to those that received bids & the item actually sold.

Blue Book is a decent reference but it can be your friend one time & an enemy the next.

Also check Cabela's Gun Library and Guns international for pricing.. I was told used guns are like used cars

He’s right . Cabela’s Gun Library usually has somewhat decent prices , but more importantly they usually have a knowledgeable person working there to help you find a fair value .

I never. And repeat never go by the blue book. Market swings far too much to keep it updated.

Gunbroker and guns America is where I check.

Set up an account on Gunbroker and mark 10 to 15 guns like yours and see what they end up selling for.

There is a New Edition Of Blue Book every year

Internet sites are only good if you do advance searches and look at completed auctions that had bids . . ,

My rule of thumb is. If it's a gun I want, it's going to cost at least what the new price was, likely a lot more.
