Has anyone seen any Purple Martens yet?

Haven't seen a single one yet! Usually have them start showing up by mid to late February... Last year was a banner year for 'e in my back yard... Three houses and probably had over a hunert including fledglings... constant battle with the starlings and a few sparrows, but that's part of the fun for a PCP gun guy!

Just curious if anyone else has seen any showing up yet.

I've had 2 sets of scouts show up but they have not moved in. This is In Dear Park.

Just noticed a whole bunch in Beaumont at Travis Brothers. First I've seen this year, and there were a bunch of them.

I have had 3 pairs at my Tomball house since the first of March. Went to Lake limestone last weekend a saw a few.

They've been at the house for a couple weeks now and just started building nests this week. I need some Martin houses to keep the mess off of my porch!

I saw a few back around the end of Feb. but I guess the cold snap chased them back south cause I haven't noticed them lately.

Couple scouts were here in Beeville end of February. Have 3 or 4 pairs here now. Always look forward to their return!
