    Archery shops Dallas/Plano/Mckinney area?

So I've been out of the compound game for quite a few years, mainly shooting traditional, and cutting/fletching my own aluminum arrows. I'm considering getting a compound, and have no clue where any shops are, even after Googling (which didn't turn up much). Also, I've recently acquired a crapload of carbon arrows from Walmart as they were closing them out for $1-1.50 apiece. I know I could always make the 15 mile trek to Cabela's to look at/shoot bows and cut down any carbon arrows that are too long, but I'd rather use an actual shop.

Any suggestions, or is Cabela's my only choice? I'd be willing to travel a bit if there was one slightly outside the Metroplex that has high ratings.

Any suggestions on bow models to check out is welcome as well. No low end stuff, but not the super high end ones either. Probably looking at mid to high end.

A "Good" archery shop is hard to find. Lots of folks selling a bow, not many really know what they are doing beyond that.
I have not tried Cinnamon creek, but it does get good reviews.
I have had good experiences with On Target Archery in Canton, and just recently went to West Houston Archery ( Traffic is TERRIBLE, but great archery shop).
I do not remember what bows On Target Archery sales, but West Houston sales Elite and Mathews. They also have a rack of "pre-owned" bows that people have traded in that are less expensive than buying new. Never hurts to check that out.
If I could shoot my longbow and recurve as good as I would like I would not pick-up my compound again. As it is, lack of confidence keeps me putting freezer meat with a compound.
Good luck on whatever bow you pick, lots of good choices out there now.

If you don't mind driving a little then load on and go to On Target in Canton. You will not be disappointed.

I prefer Cinnamon Creek, but All Star in Lewisville is closer to you and I've used them in the past and have been happy with them.
