    Any golden doodle owners here?

I think I've been broken down into buying one. Not my top 5 choices but....ive given up the good fight.

If you have one, does it shed, how is it, does it hunt?

Ours is about to turn two. Great dog. Thinks he is a person. I'm mildly allergic to dogs and have no problem with him. If you want to make sure they dont shed, go with a F1b. Goldendoodle bred with poodle. I've never seen him hunt. Caught one of our backyard chickens if that counts. Didn't kill it though.

Ours was under 2k. Drove to Little Rock to get him. So he's got a little hillbilly in him.

We (my wife...) got one about 4-5 months ago. Dudes pretty cool. Very mild mannered is more like a little kid than a dog. My two year old lab loves to play and jack with him.

My brother and sister in law have one. It’s huge and thinks it’s a lap dog. Lol.

My parents had one. Its crazy because that dog and his temperament was opposite of EVERYTHING you ever read about goldendoodles. He was CRAZY! I always said he had too much poodle in him.

I believe my parents, and my second hand experience with that dog are the only people to ever say anything negative about the breed other than the price tag associated with them!

Our next-door neighbors had a Labradoodle for 10+ years. She was super sweet but dumb as dirt. She would come visit me every day as I pulled into the driveway. She passed about a year ago and they replaced her with a Golden doodle. That dog is now about 6 months old. Nice, friendly, not dumb, ill mannered and hyper. I wouldn't give more than a buck fifty for it.

Breeding breeding breeding. Get an F1, that'll help with shedding. I have two neighbors with them, they're cool dogs.

I've been around 2 Goldendoodles and one Labradoodle. The Goldendoodles were 50-50. One was a bonafied idiot, the other was a smart awesome dog. The Labradoodle was smart but crazy, and put a butt whoopin on my wife's mini schnauzer. He won my heart when he did that, so he was awesome too.

Everything I have seen is they are supposed to be smart, chill, and expensive. I just hate to pay for a dumb hyper dog. But I'll pay for smart and chill.

We have an F1 golden doodle and she is great. Super smart and great with our 5yo. She’s not real hyper as she stays inside most of the time but she does like to chase a ball and go on walks daily. Other than that she’s an 80# lap dog. My wife was not really a dog person but loves her. The few I know are very smart.
