This bow hunter walked into my life just a few weeks before his birthday 9 years ago and has been making my dreams come true ever (I really want to type “every” here) since.
Besides teaching me good grammar from time to time, he has also shown me what a REAL man can and should be.
He has loved on my daughter as if she were his own, even when she struggles with comparing him to what “might have been” due to losing her bio dad to suicide when she was young.
It’s not easy stepping in and being a father to someone who carries that burden, but he does it- every single day. He is more of a father to her than her bio dad could be or would’ve been, and someday she’ll know that to be true, part of her already knows it.
Although we’ve both “had our kids” Larry knew how much it meant to me to have another, and even though we’re considered “later parents” we have been blessed with the most amazing little Larry that I could have ever hoped for. Landon Grey completed our beautifully blended family and Larry has never looked younger!
This past year has been one super fast roller coaster, and it flew by way too quickly, but here we are smiling and better because of it!
Happy birthday, Larry! I love you so very much, my hero.
