For those that are in the area what is the best way for a 21 yr old with no oilfield experience to get exposed/hired with a company out there? He does have limited warehouse experience then data entry & good computer skills, mechanically inclined but no certifications. He has no issues moving to the area either

Walk in the door and ask what they are hiring for. Plenty of places in need of good hands right away

Always helps to know someone in the oilfield. Plus, might see if he could even find a place to live and afford it. Lots of price gouging going on here. 1300 on up for a decent one bedroom apartment. Anything below that is getting pretty ghetto. If you don't know anyone then he is gonna walk through a bunch of doors

Get a CDL. A small investment in yourself will pay off big time if you really want a job in the patch.

Heck at one time McDonald’s was hiring there for like 15 bucks a hour starting out .im sure it’s not like that there anymore.
