What’s your furthest shot? What’s your furthest kill shot?

In light of another post, I like hearing about long range success.

1818 yards back to back on a 24” steel target with my 7 mag.

894 yards on a prairie dog with my old 6.5-284.

Both guns running Berger hunting VLDs.

Let’s hear about some long range shots. I know there’s some good shooters on here.

not too far, 850 yards on a 24inch steel plate, but it was with a service grade iron sighted garand, and a crappy rest. Got close to it at 1200, but never hit it, rested over a 4 wheeler seat.

On critters also not very far 150ish on a deer, and a little further than that on an elk.

36 yards on a deer with a bow.

I tend to like to shoot stuff closer and doubt i would take a shot on anything other than a varmint at more than 300 or so yards. But it don't bother me if someone else does, just kinda takes the fun out of it for me

400+ yds on a running coyote freehand 7 REM MAG. Actually thought missed him. Drive to town and when I came back noticed buzzards. Walked over and there he layed with a shot to the head. LUCKY

Not all that far. But a fun shot. Was coming through our gate one morning with a buddy and had a .243 with me. There was a hog running in the next pasture and I jumped out and told my buddy watch this head shot just joking. Free handed I lead him about 3 feet and squeezed and it folded him. Got to him and it was sure enough an inch right behind his left eye and exited his right eye. Came back with a range finder and it was 307 yards. My buddy couldn’t believe that I called that shot! And neither could I lol!

1k on steel at BoTW, did get dialed in one day and hit the small gong (4-6") on my first 2 shots, I quit after that.

                              508 yards on a doe.
