    Honda 420es dies after decelerating

It dies during any sort of deceleration and also backfired once. The atv has never given me an issue. Could it be bad gas? This is the Fuel Injected model.

    I'm betting it's a clogged fuel filter

Check your plug for fouling, I’ve tuned a few of these and they are fat from the showroom. Something like a dirty air filter gets the AFR jacked up and they can foul.

Had one that did that. Changed fuel filter and put some sea foam fuel treatment in gas tank an ran. No more problems.

I could be the valves need adjusting. That's what happens when my 500 starts running rough.

Check your throttle cable adjustment. I have had mine do that as the throttle cable gets slack after wear and tear. Adjust it and see if that fixes it.

Interesting, was trying to help a friend with his the other day... 350ES Ranger if memory serves. Idle screw was jacked, and I adjust that and it started and idles and would even rev up. But when he attempted to drive it the next day it would bog down and backfire under load. Will have to try the fuel filter/plug for his too.

Pretty sure the gas went bad in mine. Going to flush the fuel first.
