Ammo suggestion from the .410 guru’s

Down sized from 28ga to .410 this year for our week long dove and crane hunts in South Texas.

Been looking around for ammo and found what I wanted for cranes, but having a hard time finding anything in case/flat quantity is the HOUSTON are for 3” dove loads (7-1/2 or 8 shot). Everything is broken out of their case quantities. Anyone here have a suggestion of a place to look?

    Thanks in advance.

I bought 2 flats of 3" Win. 7 1/2 shot at Academy at 99/E.Tx Fwy. and a flat of 3" green Remy's in 7 1/2 at Academy on I-10 just inside 99 Katy side, but that was back in Late Aug. for the Dove opener...
    You shoot Bismuth for cranes?

No sir. You just can’t be hunting waterfowl at the same time.

Graf & Sons, the reloading authority, has a wide selection of reloading supplies, shooting supplies, ammo and more.

Thanks, looks as Able Ammo has a pretty good selection as well.

Why the downsize? Curious as I may do the same

No real reason other than personal preference. Also, some of my hunting buddies went to the .410 a few seasons ago and love it.

It is unfair to say the 28ga is more challenging, seeing it really isn’t.

Now the .410, that may be a different story. I guess I will see soon. I plan on taking the 28ga as a back up though.
