    Polaris ranger ?

i have a brand new ranger midsize with less than 10 hours on it. Yesterday morning i was heading hunting and was only going about 15 mph and lost power to the throttle. I let off the gas and when i hit the gas again it would take off like nothing ever happened. Machine never shut down or anything and the check engine light never came on. Just lost power basically. Then this mornin it did it 6 or 7 times. cruising fine, then nothing, let off gas then press it again and it would take right off. Also i have never had to put it i 4wd yet. So it hasn’t been driven hard. Thoughts on what this could be??? Is the belt already starting to have issues after only 10 hours?

Do you have it connected in the correct seatbelt connection in the seat. Ours has to be in the correct one. Not the one for the middle rider.

I thought yall was kidding about the seatbelt thing. Wow, mine don't have that quirk.

Is that a throttle by wire type design (throttle cable)or does it use a sensor to feed the position of the pedal? I obviously haven’t kept up with Polaris.

When I had one in the past it was because I didnt warm it up before running it. Usually start it and let it run for 5 or 10 minutes before running it.

Could the belt possibly be wet causing it to slip. Do y’all think i need to pull the PVT and see if i can drain it and mabe that will help?

Have you been driving in the rain with it on a trailer on the way to your destination? Also have you ridden it in deep water? There is a reason I am asking personal experience if yes to either question I can let you know what I found on mine

Sounds like the belt to me. Replaced mine a few weeks back after 10 years of wear and tear

Not to crazy deep, mabe about 8 inches, but only for like 20 yards then back on dry land. But to answer your question it has been driven through a little water and has sat out in some rain while I’ve been hunting

this is what i used for my Polaris for the seat belt bypass. I don't think that is your issue but never know. I had a old ranger that did same but the check engine light came on and ended up being the cam sensor.
