    Prayers Up For an Aircraft Crash

    Laughlin AFB in Del Rio just had an aircraft accident which took the life of one young man. As an instructor pilot he knowingly took to the air doing something he enjoyed. Sadly last night he was unable to safely return from a flight. This T38 crashed 7 days short of the 1st anniversary of another T38 crash claiming the life of a member from the same squadron. These guys are hurting and the 87th Red Bull’s could use some prayers. It’s going to be difficult for some of these guys to get back into the air after this but the Air Force needs them to go and hack the mission. Please take a moment and send support their way.

    A favorite poem of mine:
    "Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
    And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
    Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds -
    and done a hundred things You have not dreamed of -
    wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence.
    Hovering there I've chased the shouting wind along
    and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
    "Up, up the long delirious burning blue
    I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace,
    where never lark, or even eagle, flew;
    and, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
    the high untrespassed sanctity of space,
    put out my hand and touched the face of God." John Magee Jr

    Rest In Peace Bro

            Ugh! I fly in to Eagle Pass regularly where these guys train on approaches. Tough stuff. Prayers up.
