Good pair of socks is as important as good boots to keep your toes warm. I am a fan of LaCrosse 18" rubber insulated boots. They keep me warm and dry.

Try muck boots with thinsulate. And then wool socks. The key is to leave some wiggle room and not get them to snug.

Just make sure your socks aren't too tight! Will prevent circulation and you'll end up even colder.

As far as cold weather boots, I'm no help. It's hardly cold enough where I do the majority of my hunting to justify spending a couple hundred bucks on boots.

            Good luck

When in the military we were taught to wear light nylon socks and then over them were our wool socks. I do this today. The more layers the better.

              Keep warm

Yeah i was in the army and it was a nylon, wool ,cotton combo. Im more worried about the wet and cold. Unfortunately socks alone wont help much. Ill look at the mucks for sure.

I just bought a pair of Cabelas leather water proof boots with 800mm of thinsulate. They are on sales for 89.00. I haven't hunted with them yet however I have been walking them for 3 days to break them in and they are very comfortable and not hot at all. So far I am very please and you cant beat the price.

This is what I do. I also got a pair of lacosse 800g insulated boots 1 size to big. Little clunky but once you get the big socks on an in stand nice and toasty. I was in 19 degree weather for 8 hours last year and my feet did great.

Good wool socks are a must. But for boots look at the Schnees Insulated Pac Boots.

I bought a pair of camo and insulated rubber boots from Academy's last year. They have the "Herman Munster" thick soles that my son and I laughed at - but the suckers WORK! That thick sole keeps your feet off of the cold deck, and you can wear a regular thickness boot sock and your feet will stay plenty warm. They weren't very pricey, but you have to shop for them now cause they'll be gone very soon. I think they're perfect for still hunting. As I recall, I wore my insulated Crocs and boot socks to the blind and then put on my "Herman Munsters". As I recall, they were the Magellan brand of boots - I'm not at home right now, so I can't be 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure these are the boots I bought:

                        Good luck,

                        Dave

I have a pair of insulated duck boots from LL Bean. They keep me dry and warm. I'm looking at getting a non insulated pair for when its not cold.
