Will fruit orchards be ok staying this wet this long?

Can't do anything about it obviously but when I was at the ranch a week ago I was getting worried the 48 fruit tree orchard was staying too wet for too long. I don't think the ground ever even got close to drying out.

How long can they stay wet? They may be in mud for 12-15 days before seeing the sun.

I have pears, chestnuts, apples and plum that stayed under water in Harvey. The ground was saturated for 2 weeks at least. I didn't lose any trees. they'll be fine. you may pull mulch away if any are mulched, if theres any left.

They will be much more susceptible to diseases (fungal most likely) and will most likely be fairly stressed. The only saving grace is most species in that area will be going dormant soon. I would certainly treat them with a systemic fungicide this coming february.

Peaches will be one of the first to give up the ghost.

Plums apples mulberries pears figs jujubes persimmons loquat citrus all seem to be doing good still. Same with table grapes, blackberries and raspberries.
