Power booster for cell trail camera?

Where I hunt, I get 1-2 bars at best. A few years ago I was able to receive pics from my trail cam then nada. The 1-2 bars remained but would not send pics. Same thing with my cell phone. Could text but could not send or receive pics, so I know it wasn't the camera. Even bought a booster antenna and mounted it up a tree to about 15' off the ground, still no luck...

I continued running that camera and it finally died last year, so I don't have a cell camera anymore and would be in the market for a new one.

Is there a product on the market or is it possible to hook up a cell booster to a trail camera? I'm not talking about a "booster antenna", but an actual signal booster that requires a power supply like in a vehicle.

I don't see why it wouldn't work with a 12v booster, battery and solar panel. I don't know anything about boosters and how they hook up.

    Any thoughts....?

Had a similar issue with our covert, turned out that the SD card went bad.

Have you pulled the SD card to verify it's still taking photos & that it's just not able to send them out?

Yes. It took an entire year's worth of pics even tho it wasn't sending them. I continued to use the camera just for pictures to be on the SD card to d/l them. Tried several different SD cards as I would swap them out.

Also tried a new SIM card and still no luck.

No such thing as a "cell buster" the ones in your car make your antenna more powerful receiver from 0.5 watt to 3 watts like the old bag phones. Think you mean a repeater but what you need the is the external antenna to get better reception of the available signal.

There is a tread on here a guy listed what you can buy from Amazon to peace one together that is better than the one Covert sells.

Wilson makes a great booster. We use them on our trucks, shop and in the field. We make our own cell cameras and where signal is weak we add a booster and they work great.

I made a portable booster to carry to the stand with me. It's just a deer feeder battery and a WeBoost Drive in a dry box.
I haven't used it for a cell camera but it should work well for that too.
