DCR-SR45 30GB Handycam® Camcorder
Does anyone know if this infrared option works like it says about this camcorder?

Im in the market for a camcorder to record hunts. But do not want to use any recorder but hard drive recorders.
Dealing with tapes and discs should be after you get it on the pc in my opinion.

Any one own this model or one close to it can give me feed back.
Or if you own a cam with the same type options please give me some feed back.

I would be interested to know how many hours of footage can be stored on the internal harddrive........I have Sony's with the super night shot and they work well up to 10' in the dark, but beyond that you will need an additionallight source.........When I am hunting hogs at night and wanting to video I use a hog light on my feeder in addition to the super night shot.........

Now for a normal approximatly 2 hour movie is about 4 gigs.
But in another format it can be less then 2 gigs.

So I think you won't have a problem with running out of hard drive space on a 30 gig drive unless your hunting 8 hours strait and recording it.

I did find some of those cameras for a good price on the internet.......

I just wanted to know if anyone had experiances with this night shot option.
