Watching the demise of our 2nd Amendment

I keep trying to stay positive with a Republican President in office. Seemed pretty sweet when he was elected. I then watch the mass shootings in Vegas and now Florida.

The Republicans are in a bind and are slowly falling imo, towards more gun control. Watching and hearing some of the news it will only get worse before it gets better.

Republican have brought it upon themselves. They cowered to a Democratic President for 8 years and watched from the side line. I do NOT see another Republican President coming anytime after Trump leaves office. So that leaves that at the table.

Start purchasing ammo, firearms, magazines. I think the worst is yet to come and we haven't seen anything just yet.

If people haven't already bought all that stuff they're not going to. We've seen this happen several times already. Everyone in the United States already bought an AR for their self, their best friends, neighbors and one for their dog. If the worst is yet to come there's going to be a war right here and that's pretty much all there is to it. There's too many "assault rifles" out there. What are they gonna do if you have one, take away your birthday?

I think we need to focus more on having reliable law enforcement and government agencies that aren't afraid to step in and put crazies behind bars or in a casket when they're supposed to. But that's just my personal opinion.

They are not going to kill the killers, we will support them the rest of there lives. Or they will be released, and most likely do it again. And we the law abiding people will pay for it, and make it easier for them, and the next ones. It's crazy, and it sucks. We will loose eventually, iam afraid.

How many of these people have shown signs of mental illness or signs that they were capable of a violent attack on other people and nothing was done to prevent it?

What are they doing in psychiatric hospitals now days?

"Nah,he's good. He hasn't talked about murdering people or drawn any pictures of death and destruction in the last week or so. And he hasn't tried to bite or stab anyone that brought him his medication. So he's good to go home. Although he did paint his face up like he was a clown and sat there naked, mumbling something to himself this morning. So we'll need a follow up psychiatric evaluation on this guy in a year."

Oh yeah? How bout just locking crazy people up or paying more attention to the warning signs? That'd be helpful.

Unfortunately most people will roll over and turn them in just like other countries that have gone down this path. People have too much to loose in jobs, retirements, children, grandchildren etc to fight a war over this. Besides, how many want to shoot a local LEO when he comes to arrest you for not turning yours in? I have a nephew of the FWPD and that wouldn't be right to kill them for doing their jobs.
Face it, the people in colonial times were used to sustainence farming, hunting and fishing. Living off the land was the way of life. Most modern folk couldn't survive without electricity, city water and healthcare. There isn't gonna be a revolution over this. It will happen with a lot of griping and complaining but in the end very few will have their gun taken from their cold dead fingers.

I know of some guys in Eastern Oklahoma that live without electricity or running water. There's bath tubs in their front yard. That's literally not an exaggeration in any way, shape or form. There's gonna be people getting shot in Oklahoma if it comes down to it. That's just the reality of it. In the bigger cities...Maybe not. But out in the boonies in some parts of this country they're gonna run into a different breed of people if they confiscate guns. I'm just stating facts.

I guarantee you there'd be a lot of people turning in their badge and gun if it came to that. There wouldn't be a cop car without a bullet hole or two in it in some places.

I'm not saying that to be a jackass. I'm just saying.

If any law enforcement or military come to forcibly confiscate weapons without a full repeal of the 2nd amendment first then they are treasonous and deserve whatever happens to them.

Confiscation is something I personally will fight and die for, if need be. Call me crazy.

I agree with your assessment Roy and it’s definitely scary. In fact, it’s downright alarming. That said, I’m hoping and praying that just maybe the tide is starting to turn. I think a lot of folks are starting to get fed up with all the leftist liberal media’s biased agenda and finally beginning to see through some of their BS. I think the gloves are finally off and you are starting to see conservatives fight back. People like Ben Shapiro are reminding us that we shouldn’t be ashamed or have to apologize for standing up for our rights and the days of being politically correct are over!
It won’t be easy but I’m holding out on the thought that there’s still hope and we can win this thing. I’m confident we can withstand it at least until my days are over...but I sure worry about my kid’s and grandchildren’s future.

I don’t think one or two presidential terms are going to get this country turned around. It’s going to take generations.

If they follow those orders, then they are not really doing their job due to supporting the domestic enemy. I just cannot see it happening anyway & kinda creepy to consider. IMO there would first be a big split within the le community before the knocking started if you want to go down the rabbit hole.
