    LBJ vs. Caddo Grasslands

I bowhunted LBJ once back in 2004 and so I am somewhat familiar with it. I went to LBJ opening day this year but did not see anything. It was fairly warm that day. Can anyone tell me how LBJ area might differ from the Grasslands in Fannin County? I applied for and received a doe tag which can be used for either place this year. Also does anyone know where one can go and sight in a shotgun as most gun ranges don't want you to shoot your 12 guage shotgun even with a scope.

Quail Creek gun range on 35W & 1171 allows slugs guns. I never have done Caddo.

Thanks Bulletpusher for the gun range info. That's close and convenient to me. Good hunting and fishing to you this year.

If you got drawn for a doe tag then it's either good for LBJ or Caddo but not both.Make sure you read it. I have also been drawn for a doe tag for caddo. I,ve hunted out there for the past five years and have done ok but not great.
The deer are there but it's best to wait till after thanksgiving to go out.

Thanks NTxHunter. I did read the tag when I got it and the disclosures on the website when I applied for it. I appreciate the input. I never got a chance to scout Caddo and have no idea which one would give me the best chance for some backstrap, sausage and chops this year.

          Good Hunting
