What is best? Oats,turnips,peas,a mix of all or something completely different? Whats the easiest way to spread powdered lime? Thanks in advance.

Yes, yes yes and yes. Use pelletized or Ag lime instead of powdered lime.

I have been reading about this used in conjunction with lime. http://www.milorganite.com/ it Sen to be a good fertilizer with a benefit of keeping the deer off the fox plot for a few weeks.to give the plants a chance to grow to a size that can handle browsing.
