Threats of using negative interest rates?!?!!?! didn't the Fed just raise the rate in december? Thought everything was peachy since they did that


After falling 1.2 percent Thursday, the S&P 500 is down 10.54 percent in the first 28 days of trading. That’s the biggest fall to the start of the year ever, according to Bespoke Investment Group, an independent research firm. Previously, the biggest decline over the first 28 days of trading was the 9.22 percent fall at the start of 1948.

That's the problem when you drop interest rates to near zero, there is no wiggle room. Obummer never fixed any of our financial issue since 2008, he just used bandaids such as this.

In all fairness that falls more on the heads of our illustrious legislative arm. In fact, I don't want him meddling in any "fixing" of anything, he has made enough attempts at by passing congress as it is.

For the record, I don't really want those yahoos on capital hill messing with it either, I'd much prefer Washington just get the heck out of the way
