Custom Savage Axis for my Granddaughter

I bought a Savage Axis 223 for transitioning my granddaughter from he pink 22 rascal to a centerfire. I reloaded some low velocity rounds so that it wouldn't be much different than the 22 recoil.

She didn't like black - needed to be purple. Also the trigger was too stiff and the stock too long.

Replaced the trigger with a Timney, cut the stock down, added a limb saver recoil pad (ground down).

Then we painted it with Testors model paint in Purplelicious with an Electric pink A (her initial). Added about 6 coats of gloss.

Topped it off with an ATN X-Sight - will stream the video to my iPhone so that I see what see sees through the scope.

Can't wait to have her take it for a test drive!

Also don't seem t have as much issue with eye relief as a regular scope. She can see through it pretty easy.
