I just got drawn for the Davis Mountain Javelina hunt! I have not been hunting in the Davis Mountains or for javelina. I will be calling the park but would appreciate any advise you can offer. Thanks.

Javys are a blast with a Bow. Don't believe what you hear about how blind and stupid they are. They always have a spotter in the heard that will bust you so be slow, low, and have the wind in your face. Shoot for the collar in the middle of there body. good luck -
I know from personal experience that if you stay at the Camp Grounds there at the State Park the Javelina will come right through there rooting around your camp site.
You can even kill them with a rock if your good enough!Comment
