    Arrow tuning complete.

A month or so ago I was asking what arrow combinations to shoot. I now understand that tuning is unique to each bow and shooter. No one can tell you exactly what will work for you. So after weeks of trial and error messing with spine and weight combos I finally figured it out. GT 5575 cut to 30.5 with 100 grain brass insert and 100 grain point. Total arrow weight of 510 grains at 198 fps on the chrono. Now if I can only get a buck to come by we might spill some blood. Six shot group at 20 yards. One bad release. Thanks for all the help you guys have provided. I am ate up with my switch to trad.

Glad you found the right setup. Now that you're there, practice practice, practice......

58 inch Sarrels Puma. Bob measured draw weight at 58 pds on 29 inch draw.
It shot 208 fps on a 440 grain arrow.

This bow. Bob took a pic of the 208 on the chrono. Didn't mean much to me coming from a compound. What are normal speeds for recurves in the 50 pound range.
