    Rhino Metal Top

Well I picked up a 2006 Rhino 450 for our deer lease and wanted to put a hard top on it. It had the standard rubber/vinyl snap on top to start. So I made a template on top of the rollcage taping and bending it the way I wanted. I then went and bought a sheet of 14guage sheet metal. Let me tell you that was one heavy son of a gun. Took my template and traced it onto the metal. I wanted clean cuts, so I got my local welding buddy to cut and weld the seams. My welding skills arent quite up to snuff yet. Brought it home, welded clips on the back for my gun holder, then painted the whole thing with 4 coats of rhino lining in a rattle can. Mounted it up and ready to go. Still going to add a new LED light on the front edge, but this sucker is strong as heck. I jumped up and down on the top of it, with no give. Yes the rubber you see is the original top, it had cool pockets in it, thought it would be helpful and help cut down on rattling noise.

With metal, paying the welder, paint and all, I have $245.00 in it.
