    Kids hunt

    hey guys,

    looking to get a hunt for my daughter. currently deployed and wont be back states until mid Nov. Just looking for a doe or hog hunt that isn't going to break the bank and let her harvest her first, crossbow or rifle. we live in the bryan/college station area back home. any leads would be very helpful to plan her something when I get back.

    There's a guy on 2cool advertising hog hunts in Anahuac for 175. They take you to the blind in an airboat and go through water, land, and marsh. They were very accommodating to my daughter and made sure she had fun. The stand was nicely built and had plenty of room for two. I know it would be a bit of a drive coming from Bryan, but if nothing else pans out I think y'all would probably have a lot of fun if you went to Anahuac.

      Thanks, will definitely follow up on that. Did y'all end up getting a pig?

        It was cold with the sun setting so I started packing up when I heard the airboat fire up to pick us up. As we got out of the stand I turned and saw a 100lb pig standing not 15yds from us. Had we waited until the airboat arrived we woulda killed it. Fortunately the guys nearly ran over a pig on the way to get us and stopped to shoot it. They let us keep it so we at least got meat in the freezer.

        While we were in the stand we could hear the pigs screaming and fighting, they just never came out of the brush. I believe the guys lease 13000 acres or something like that and can accommodate rifles, bows, or shotguns with buckshot/slugs.
