Here is a wench up model we made that uses an 85 gallon barrel. We attached an upside down PVC toilet flange to the bottom of the barrel with a down spout. To that we glued on a "T" and cut holes in each side of the “T” and put another piece of PVC through to make a 4 way feeder.

Here is one that I built and used in 2005/06. Then painted and donated to the Levi Baur Foundation this past summer. The legs on all my feeders and tri-pods stand at 60/120 degree angles. The feed mouths stand 42" from the ground, a perfect hight for deer, and hard to reach for smaller hogs and coons. In fact I never once caught or got game cam pics of a coon on it. Each feed mouth extends 6" from the down tube and is cut 1" back on the bottom 2 corner seams, then beat in slightly with a hammer to form a stop at the end and keep the feed from running out on the ground. The down tube and feed mouths are 4"x4"x16 ga. As for mounting it on the barrel, at the top of the down tube, I just cut down each corner 3" and rolled or beat it outward. For the inside of the barrel, I made a large stiffiner plate to help distribute the stress across the bottom of the barrel. I then clamped the stiffener and down tube togeather and drilled two 3/8" holes in each corner of each flap on the down tube and through the stiffiner. Then I unclamped the downtube and stiffener plate, located the down tube on the barrel, and used the holes of the down tube as a patten to drill the holes in the barrel. After drilling the barrel, and you may need a friend for this, I just sandwich the barrel bottom between the stiffener plate and the down tube and bolt togeather. Silicone calk the bottom of the barrel and down tube to help prevent water from getting inside the down tube. This way it can be disassymbled and moved if nescisary. I watched several deer feed from this and the does with fawns just stuck thier snouts in it and raked what the fawns needed out.

Here is a little different version of the stacked barrels. These work real well for us. The down spout is 4" exhaust pipe with a piece of allthread welded inthe end on a cross piece for the dinner plate. The barrel end has a piece of 1/8" plate welded to the spout and that bolts to the barrel. The trick is welding the two barrels together.
