    Camp Hot Shower

I engineered a hot water shower for camp and thought you guys might like to see.

I have had a EZ 101 tankless water heater on my old travel trailer. Since my son upgraded our trailer at the west Texas lease I took water heater off the old trailer.

To have a shower at the Oklahoma lease I made a bracket to mount the heater on the side of my utility trailer. I also have an old shower tent and will put it on the trailer. I will take a 55 gallon barrel full of water to camp and will have a nice warm shower.

These heaters have gone up since I bought this one, they now sale for around $170, the rest I had laying around. Just tested it and the water gets hot in no time.

Awesome, nothing like a shower after a days hunt.

I'm running the same setup and it works like a champ!!

If you're transporting water to your camp you should look into harvesting your own rainwater.

I haven't had to haul water in 4 years and my back thanks me everyday.

Nice setup. I have one of those heaters and was worried a little about using it inside a building. Is there any exhaust or is that a problem?

We use the same set up at our camp and it is awesome to be able to take a hot shower on cold morning!

Yes if you run it inside you should vent the exhaust but it is no big deal.

I assume you have a inline trash filter? I only ask because our tanks catch silt and roof trash. Any guidance on the matter?

I cut a vent hole in the plywood.
