TPWD Drawn Hunts

The TPWD web site has the Drawn Hunts portion up and running now.......for those of you who wish to apply for the drawings. I looked through it a little today and it doesn't look too complicated, but I haven't actually tried to enter yet; I'm still looking through the selections and still narrowing them down so I don't spend a small fortune. (It looks like it would real easy to get carried away and spend a lot of money real quick).
I'll probably get back on the computer later this evening and look into it some more to get a better understanding of how all of it works.

One thing I like is that you can see your preference points and right next the them is apply now button. I hate trying to remember what I entered before....

I got a little carried away, but the funds go to the animals and people that need it to allow to do what I enjoy. I consider it a small price to pay for doing what I love.

I only applied to basically all of the youth hunts with my kid, and some others. I think I spent 31 bucks all told, so far...don't know if I will apply for any more.

The entries are only $3 a piece for the general stuff. I think the big time hunts are a little more but not much. Of course the permit fee is a lot more if you draw, but it is unlikely you will draw 2 or more.

I really enjoyed pouring over the statistics last year and making selections. Will do the same this year.

Never tried this before....just put in for two hunts...Enchanted Rock and Lake Brownwood...pretty cool.

Different categories have different daedlines. The first deadline is for the alligator hunts, Aug 7th.

I'll be pretty much just putting in for Youth Hunts for my son.

I never did the mail in ones, just never got around to doing it. Online will make it easier, but I do beleive it will decrease the odds now that is is too easy not to do it.

I couldn't figure out how yall were managing to spend a bunch of money on applications. And then I realized that now they are allowing you to apply for multiple hunts in the same category. That has not been the case in the past.

I spent over $100 last year, so I'm afraid how much it may be this year with the option to apply for more than one hunt in s category.
