    Need help from the diyers!

So I'm building a bar top table for hobby work or a bar in the house. No matter which way I go with it I have some general questions for you guys. I built a table out of some light weight metal tubing.
And I scored some sweet planked cedar.
    1. Can I paint galvanized metal? Should I?
    2. I bought some bar top epoxy. Have y'all ever applied it? Does the table have to be perfectly level so that epoxy doesn't pool on one side? How many layers? Is a 6 in putty knife the right tool to spread it out? Does a hair dryer really work for getting out the bubbles in lieu of a heat gun? And lastly can I do it indoors because I think it's to cold outside for it to set up?
    Thanks for reading guys!

Use a zinc chromate primer if you can find it. Also used for aluminum. Otherwise same as any other metal. Lightly sand and wipe down with a degreaser or thinner.

We did a bar top when we built the house. Yes the hair dryer works. I wouldnt paint the galvanized metal unless you want to. If the epoxy is similar to the stuff we used then all you need is time. It will level itself out. I used a piece of cardboard to center the flow then just let it drip off the sides. Once it began to set I used a razor to trim the overflow edge then a putty knife to smooth it while it was still plyable. Just make sure you add a touch more hardener to the mix. If you leave a wine bottle or something heavy on it, over time it will leave marks... I can swing thru on the way home from work if you need some help.
