Need some help on the age of this one

This deer started showing up later in the season but always late evenings or middle of the night. He looks mature but doesn't have the antlers I would hope to see on a mature buck. I am hoping he is still on his way up and will get better this next year.

Might be able to tell better from the side, but it's possible he could be a year or two past his prime, or maybe a year or two young. He looks well fed and has full looking hams, and a good thick neck. However i don't see a true significant potbelly. But my gut feeling is hes past prime

No matter what I keep wishing I get the same feeling as you that he may be close to peaking. Hopefully he will hang tight in the area and we can watch him to see what he is going to do.

Looks old with small rack. May not be much potential there, you should know next season when he is ready for harvest, IMHO.

I agree with old and past prime. A better side shot would probably tell more.
