Which do you prefer 2 blade or 3 blade broadheads?

I have a 64 pound longbow and want to know which broadheads y'all prefer to use with similar weight bows. 2 or 3 blade broadheads? I used some old school 3 blade snuffers out of my compound years ago and loved them, they were a cinch to sharpen and performed great! Being new to Trad archery I'm not real sure which is a better performing broadhead.

Ive by no means killed as many trad kiss as most of the men on here but i do have around 15 couple deer and the rest hogs. I personally prefer a 2 blade if you hit the vitals the animal will bleed plenty. i also like the penetrating possibilities with 2 blade. ive got some 125 grain Hellrazors 3 blade that are cut on contact that are razor sharp i was going to try but decided its easier to get a 2 blade to penetrate deeper there for getting blod to the ground. ive been told that a 3 blade cut on contact will work if you hit the vitals just my 2 cents im sure other people will be giving there advice as well

I find 3 blade heads group better regardless of the bow. 2 blade heads will plane on you unless you have a helical fletching for a fast spin.

3 blades provide a bigger entry/exit hole for blood flow but 2 blades typically penetrate further. I shoot 2 blades and don't seem to have any problems other than a smaller blood trail if you don't get a pass thru. Nothing better than a scary sharp 2 blade.

Our bowhunting fathers stated a 3:1 ratio is the best for 2 blade penetration. 3" long x 1" wide.

This is typically only true of poorly tuned arrows. If you bareshaft your arrows or broadhead tune them, your point of impact will be the same with BH's as with fieldpoints.

I make my own screw in broadheads which are not perfectly aligned most times. Even with the lack of trueness in the broadhead, I maintain the same point of impact.

If a person is shooting enough weight, I'd always recommend a wensel woodsman (3 blade) because they just leave more blood on the ground. Mind you, I've killed a ton of critters with 2 blade heads, and watched many of them go down in sight. However, I was always dissapointed with how little blood I found on the ground with them. I only use 2 blade heads now with lightweight setups like my daughter's bow, for max penetration.

I have killed plenty of animals with both and I've had pass through with both the three blade and the two blade.
I'm no help, because I still shoot both. I do bare shaft tune my arrows and a true flying arrow will give you the penetration that your looking for.

                  If I could shoot 64#, I would be shooting 3 blades. Since I can't, I shoot 1 blades!
